Our renewed Home!

When we bought this house we thought we would fix up the things we did not like, step by step. Here was our short list:
- New Shower stall and new Tile in the Master bath to get rid of the clinical white look.
- do something about the fiberglass in the shower which is almost impossible to clean.
- New carpet in the Master bed room (Frisee is not our thing) 
- We would like to change the wood floor in the kitchen to tile and change the dark wood floor into a light one
- we would like to paint the Livingroom ( the room we did not paint when we moved in.)

So than came God's interesting provision in form of a busted pipe in the attic which resulted in this

We lived with the humming sound of the blowers for about 2 weeks. Day in and Day out the blowers blew and it did not dry well since the temps were still down. So the worries about mold and mildew increased and finally they decided to pull all the insulation out and take of half of the sheet rock. Than they decided it was still not moving fast enough and took down all the sheet rock and all the insulations. Fun!!!!!!

Yes this is how it looked in our place after 2 weeks of slow demolition. The water had crawled underneath the laminate and progressed all the way to the other side of the house so it started buckling and therefore it had to go. Lovely. This is one of the last pics before they send us to a hotel for a week and than to the apartment. They packed all of our stuff up and moved it into storage. We are still searching for some of the boxes but today I did get the carpets back. :-)

So, after waiting for basically 3 month we were able to move back in. It looks like this now:

 

  

 

Did you guess it? Yes, we got everything replaced in the way we wished for. I had prayed for money, work, payraises..... but I had never imagined God would answer my prayers like this. :-) So, this is the lesson learned.... be careful what you pray for. He might answer in the most amazing ways! Thank you Father in heaven for all your provisions! We have now a fantastic new home with some really crazy designer colors a la Muellers! :-) The painters asked us every step of the way if we were sure about the colors! :-) We were and we do like it! We are home! Thank you Jesus! Praise God.
