since I blogged on here. Somehow life got pretty crazy when I started working again and having two kids is not making it go slower. So I thought I just post on our Christmas excitement around here.
We had a quiet Christmas this year, we stayed home and just enjoyed ourselves and the kids.
After traveling last year we felt we needed a low key Christmas this year. We would have liked a snowy Christmas but that did not happen, and I am glad that Anna has not started yet questioning why God hears and answers some prayers and some not. :-)
Here are some pics.... We started December with building up the tree and Anna was again a big helper. Than we went the same weekend to the Christmas tree lighting in Mckinney and visited with Santa. At least Anna did .....
Than we had to celebrate Anna's Birthday with a Painting Party. We had a great turn out and lots of fun.
Than we had to look at some Christmas lights. We just had to start making some Christmas Traditions this year. We have been so often away on Christmas we just had to reinvent Christmas in our family.
I love that my girls are really bonding as sisters by now. It's really special to watch that.
Christmas eve is our big celebration, like we would have it in Germany. So the kids know that Christkindle or the Christ child is bringing them presents. Three for each this year since Baby Jesus got three too. They also did get one from Grandpa and from Auntie.... but that is different. :-)

| Anna had to help Lysa unpack her gifts.... |
| Mom had to help right away building up the microphone. |
| That Microphone was just the hit.... |
| Lysa loves her first own doll and all the stuff which goes with it. |
| Anna the scientist inspecting everything.... |
| Lysa just thinks the doll bed is for her! |
| Lysa our little scientist |
| Gosh she loves to imitate big sister. |

Our precious girls.
| They really love one another |
| We had a picnic under the tree on Christmas Day. |
Lysa enjoyed the Picnic too.

We just had a great few days with the kids at home. Anna retold the Christmas story, which was really insight full, and we enjoyed some German Christmas music from the CD. Next year we might really get into the singing part. :-)
So that was our Christmas. Cozy, relaxed and enjoyable. :-) Great memories.
That microphone looks awesome! Sounds like a lovely Christmas you all had. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your post! Looks like you guys had a great Christmas. I'll have to show Haley your pictures in the morning. She's missed Anna! :)
