I Did not blog for a while

and I had a serious reason for it. Having children and being responsible for two precious little ones makes me more vulnerable when some things happen in life. Things which would not make me go crazy when we were just a couple. So when Chris lost his job in the first week of January things went a bit crazy and as some of our close friends know, we questioned ourselves if we really did the right thing in coming back to Germany, especially since he kept hearing that he is way too American for the Germans. Ahmmmmm yup he is too American for the Germans and too German for the Americans. Oh well, this means we might live now where we want and still will never fit in. But its not about fitting in in the first place. Ok...so that was that. The planners as we are, we decided eventually we would wait with our decision about going back for a year so that Anna had at least one full year of school here before we moved again. So.... Chris searched for a new job had many interviews and in the end landed a new one which will start on Monday, but like its custom here, he has a 6 month trial period. Yeah! God is good. The first three month of this year were pretty crazy and in February we realized that some of the craziness came from re-culture shock and not really feeling home yet and a strong need to nest. So we decided we needed to move to a house and found one a few weeks ago. WE are nesting now and praying this new job will work out. In the end we feel at peace with our decision now which is a great thing. We needed that feeling of peace. And that is what its all about... our emotions sometimes get the better of us and it did in January.
Its really hard for me to even put this all into words. There is so much more to this but I just do not want to put it all out there. So if you are curious...call me. :-)Just a week before easter we went for a week to the Northsea and it was an awesome time of reconnecting for all of us. We needed this time as a family and enjoyed it a lot!
